"Whether we are poets or parents or teachers or artists or
gardeners, we must start where we are and use what we have. In the process
of creation and
relationship, what seems mundane and trivial may show itself to be a holy, precious, part of a
pattern."
- Luci Shaw
Tamalpa Individual Coaching/Therapy
Tamalpa, as a movement-based expressive arts approach which integrates therapeutic practices, offers individuals an exciting opportunity to explore the interplay between their life experience and art.
You do not need to have any previous experience of movement or art-making to benefit from this approach. However If you are a dancer, performer or artist it can expand your creativity.
What Happens in a Session?
In One to One Tamalpa sessions each art medium: movement/dance, drawing and creative writing becomes a vehicle through which you can uncover and explore the compelling themes and questions in your life and shape new possibilities.
You will have my undivided attention for an hour in which I will support and guide you to access
your creativity and address an issue of your choice.I usually begin with whichever art medium you
are most drawn to.
Your dances, drawings and poetry hold metaphors and messages that will allow you to reflect on and
dialogue with your present, past and imagined future.
